ONGOING ACTION

USU officials, delegates and members continue to work toward improving occupational health and safety
at the workplace level.

At the industry and state level, networks have been developed with the aim of improving safety outcomes for rangers and parking patrol officers – hopefully with benefits flowing on to other workers and the community in general. Some strategies include: lobbying various levels of government for improved consultation; information gathering on council practices and policies; encouraging improved community education and; producing and sharing resources.

The table below shows recent developments, network meetings and links to further information.
