The winner of the July $1000 USU Member’s Draw was Mr Don Brightman
Team Leader: Concreting, Lines & Signs at the Wagga Wagga City
Council. Don has been with the Council for ten years and has been a
proud member of the USU for those ten years too.
“To say that he was surprised when I informed him of his win, would be putting it mildly,” said local Organiser Tyrone Lynch. “When I rang him, he didn’t even know that the USU had begun this new initiative of randomly rewarding members for simply being members. As the old saying goes, ‘you have to be in it to win it’, but Don didn’t even know he was ‘in it’, so to speak.”
And who knows your luck? Maybe you, the reader, could be the next person to receive a call from the USU to tell you that you’re a lucky winner!
Our Other Lucky Winners: June: Mr David J Abnett from Hawkesbury City Council May: Mr Lazar Kanatlarovski from Rockdale City Council April: Ms Mongta, from Illawarra Aboriginal Warrigal Employment-Community Department Employment Project March: Mr Jarrod W Monk from Newcastle City Council
HOW YOU CAN BE A WINNER IN 2009 The USU is running three great promotions to reward our members and to encourage membership in our great union.
By being a member of the USU you have the chance to win. We are also encouraging members to sign up their colleagues to the union - remember in unity we have strength. There is also a draw for 3 great holidays.
