Liverpool Council: LSL Survey Results

The United Services Union recently sent out a survey asking for Liverpool City Council employees' input regarding the instructions given by the current General Manager on how employees should take their Long Service Leave Entitlements. Please note these instructions do not include being "mutually agreed".

Survey results are in.

The overwhelming response from staff at Liverpool council is to leave Long Service Alone!

  • 97% said they did NOT agree with the proposal that would require staff to take 2.3 or 3.2 weeks of LSL each year for the next 5 years
  • 91% wanted  Council to agree to allow all existing and new employees maintain a bank of 20 weeks LSL
  • 84% of employees with over 20 weeks LSL would reduce the bank to 20 weeks over the next 10 years

And lastly,

  • Over 95% of staff surveyed said that the wanted vacancies created by LSL filled.
 
The fight is not over yet, it is only the beginning. If you have not joined the Union now is the time!
