USU Women’s Committee has a new Online Presence!

Times are changing.  In 2008 many of us do a fair portion of our communicating online.


Thank you to Sandra Mortherns for setting up the Forum. Sandie has been employed at Fairfield City Council for 14 years and has been an active delegate for over 6 years. Sandra is the Chairperson of the USU Womens Committee.


This is especially true for women who balance so many areas of their lives – family, work, sport, community obligations.  The internet lets us discuss issues and share information no matter what time it is and the best news is you can even do it in your pjs!

Communicating has just become a whole lot easier for women members of the USU.  A new online forum has been launched by the Women’s Committee.  Here you can chat on issues that affect you, download relevant forms, find interesting links and even view photos of recent women’s events.

All you have to do to participate is to be a member of Yahoo.  Joining is easy – simply visit www.yahoo.com.au and sign up.  Once you are a member click on the groups link on the side of the page.  

You will see a box under the heading “Find a Yahoo Group”.  Type in USUwomensbusiness and apply to become a member.  Within 24 hours a moderator will approve your membership and you will be ready to start posting and exploring.

If you want to post a reply simply click on the post a reply button and you will be on your way. If you need assistance email usuwomensbusiness@yahoo.com.au and a moderator will get back to you as soon as possible.
