Delegates Training Delivers

By Narelle Rich
USU Manager North
Aug 1, 2008

Recently 11 participants undertook the first 3 days of Level 2 Delegate Training in Port Macquarie.  Delegates came predominately from Local Councils including Lake Macquarie, Gosford, Walcha, Moree Plains, Richmond Tweed and Clarence Valley and a delegate from Country Energy.

Delegates were enthusiastic and many of them are looking forward to being qualified to undertake secondment when the opportunity presents itself.  Level 2 training is mainly concerned with elements of recruiting and organising in the workplace, which will prepare the delegates for when this opportunity to act in an Organising role occurs.

Any delegates who have not undertaken the Level 1 Delegates Training are encouraged to do so.  Please contact your local Organiser to arrange an application form for the training.  Training is not restricted to Committee of Management delegates; it is open to all delegates.

Most delegates availed themselves of the Aquatic Caravan Park and Motel. A BBQ was organized for Thursday night at the Aquatic Caravan Park, using the well appointed Camp Kitchen and a great night was had by all.
