Why not join the USU New Gen Committee?

By Julie Griffiths
USU Director, Women, Child Care, Youth and Aged
Sep 18, 2006

The New Generation USU committee have been working on issues that they believe effect young workers in their workplaces and have been concentrating on ideas that will entice younger workers into the Union Movement.

The New Generation USU committee recognise the importance of ensuring younger workers are aware of the Howard Government's Industrial relations "reform" and how it will affect them in their workplaces.

Why not join the committee?
The committee meet on a quarterly basis with our next meeting scheduled for 15th March at 10am in the USU Office. Any members under 30 who are interested in learning more about the committee or who would like to come along to the meeting should contact Rebecca Zinghini on 9265 8211 or rzinghini@usu.org.au

Survey:
Last year the committee distributed a survey asking for information from younger workers about direction the union should take. Thanks to all of you who responded.

The results of the survey have been compiled and can be downloaded here (microsoft word format).
