Liverpool Council Fire: USU General Secretary Visits Aug 16, 2010: Following a fire on the weekend causing over $20 million worth of damage to the Liverpool city Council Admin building USU General secretary Graeme Kelly visited the site today and held discussions with Council regarding the temporary arrangements.

LIVERPOOL COUNCIL LONG SERVICE LEAVE: UPDATE Jun 25, 2010: On Thursday 24 June a loyal member sent the USU a copy of Liverpool
Council's 2007 Long Service Leave Policy which confirms that employees
could accumulate over and above the amount of leave prescribed in the
Local Government State Award, contradicting Council's move to force
staff to use up accumulated LSL.

Liverpool Council: LSL Survey Results Jun 16, 2010: The United Services Union recently sent out a survey asking for Liverpool City Council employees' input regarding the instructions given by the current General Manager on how employees should take their Long Service Leave Entitlements. Please note these instructions do not include being "mutually agreed".

Parramatta City Council Members: Have Your Say About YOUR Pay & Conditions Mar 10, 2009: Parramatta City Council employees have enjoyed fair and reasonable working conditions since 2004 via the staff Enterprise Agreement (PCC EA). It's time again for the Union to negotiate a new Enterprise Agreement on your behalf. Essentially, these conditions are an enhancement to the Local Government State Award 2007 and are often specific to PCC staff.

Phone Tab Granville Employees Reject Draft Collective Agreement Oct 9, 2008: Following the closure of the ballot on the proposed new draft Phone Tab
collective agreement, employees rejected the draft document. There were
98 votes in favour of the proposed agreement and 109 opposed. The
proposed agreement will therefore not come into force and operators'
pay and conditions will continue to be governed by the current
agreement. This includes the preliminary 2.5% pay rise operators
received in July.
