Oct 3, 2008: THE United Services Union has taken Cessnock City Council to the Industrial Relations Commission for the fourth time in 12 months for breaching its wet-weather policy.

Jun 5, 2008: Port Stephens Council has withdrawn their own pay offer (8.57% increase in the base rate of pay for 38 hour per week employee).  A new salary system is still being progressed.

Sep 18, 2008: The purpose of this survey is to help your Union to negotiate a proposed new Enterprise Agreement (EA).  It is not compulsory to participate in this survey, and all questions are optional, however the more information we have, the easier it will be to negotiate an agreement that suits your interests. Gosford Council Wants Federal System
Apr 9, 2008: The United Services Union recently attended a stakeholders meeting regarding the proposed new Water authority. During this meeting the General Manager of Gosford City Council  "threatened to leave the meeting".
