Occupational
Health and Safety and Workers Compensation can often be a bewildering
and overwhelming topic with many rules and much legislation.
The Occupational Health and Safety Act 2000 (OHS Act) and Occupational
Health and Safety Regulation 2001 (OH&S Regulation) represent
a radical change to health and safety in NSW.
Along with changes to Workers Compensation it can be very confusing
for Australian workers.
The USU is
committed to the Health and Safety of all members and have committed
training and other resources into ensuring members and delegates
are well informed of their rights and responsibilities to Health
and Safety in the workplace.
