Save jobs for disabled workers at Wollongong Radio Doctors Nov 6, 2008: The United Services Union, along with the assistance of the South Coast
Labor Council, has been working very hard to develop some proposals for
Wollongong Radio Doctors to keep their call centre running and
employing workers with disabilities.

BROKEN HILL COUNCIL EMPLOYEES BE WARNED: Council is trying to STRIP your conditions Nov 4, 2008: Your Unions together with the BIC, have been in negotiation with Council for the last few months over the Broken Hill Consent Award. By now you will have read the General Manager's notice circulated without the knowledge of the Unions - a document that calls on members to "trade off" a number of Award conditions, the major items of which are listed below.

Wollongong Radio Doctors Bring forward dismissal of disabled workers who protested their redundancy Nov 4, 2008: Last Thursday the 30th October disabled workers of Wollongong Radio Doctors (WRD) supported by the United Services Union and the South Coast Labor Council, held a rally out the front of the Chairman's (WRD) place of work. The Rally was in protest of the disabled workers being told that they were being made redundant as at the 9th November 2008. WOLLONGONG RADIO DOCTORS: DISMISSAL OF WORKERS WITH DISABILITIES RALLY Nov 3, 2008: A rally is to be held on Thursday 6th November to show support for
individuals with disabilities trying to enter or re-enter the
workforce. Recently Wollongong Radio Doctors (WRD) (run by local
Doctors) dismissed 12 of their disabled workers from their call centre.
Their actions are reprehensible
