USU Wins Protections On Central Coast Jobs
Jan 1, 2007: The USU has won job protections for council workers at Gosford and Wyong councils following a lightning campaign that culminated in a delegation of members and delegates, USU officials, ALP member for The Entrance Grant McBride and ALP Member for Peats Marie Andrews to meet with NSW Water Utilities Minister David Campbell at Parliament House.

Shoalhaven Rally Against AWAs and Workchoices
Dec 31, 2006: On Tuesday 24th October hundreds of Shoalhaven Council employees, union members, community groups and families attended the USU Mass Shoalhaven Workers Rally in Nowra to protest the decision by Shoalhaven City Council to attempt to introduce Australian Workplace Agreements for workers in the aquatic centre who are seasonal and casual employees.

Dec 31, 2006: USU airline members have expressed concerns over the proposed take-over offer of Qantas by Texas Pacific and Macquarie Bank.
