WorkChoices: What Happens After the Election? Nov 1, 2007: Before the last federal election John Howard did not mention
WorkChoices and many Australians voted for him because they thought he
would look after working families. Many families have now been let down
and so have future generations of Australians.

Airlines: Qantas EBA Negotiations Continue Nov 1, 2007: Meetings with Qantas on the Collective Agreement Negotiations (EBA 8)
and the consolidation of the Award into the Collective Agreement
continue. This has been an exhaustive process as the National
Negotiating Team and management have had to meet on both EBA issues and
consolidation of Award conditions separately as some issues fall in the
prohibited matters area

Bob Hawke: Unions Vital to a Fair Go Nov 1, 2007: On Tuesday 2 October 2007, USU Officials and local delegates attended
the campaign launch of Craig Thomson, ALP candidate for the seat of
Dobell.
A highlight of the night was the guest speaker, the former Australian Prime Minister, Mr Bob Hawke.

It's About the Future Nov 1, 2007: As this November edition of United comes into print the Union faces significant industrial and political challenges. In all workplaces, members have faced a battle against WorkChoices which will get worse if John Howard is re-elected.
