Jetstar EBA update
Jetstar management really don't want you to have a real and decent pay rise. They keep showing you again and again that they do not really value your work.
Management is breaking the law!
We have reported to you previously about Jetstar management's attempts to reduce your claims. Now they are trying to talk to you one at a time or in small groups to find out from you what you are prepared to accept.
It's against the law! Jetstar management have to abide by the Fair Work Act when it comes to these negotiations and they are not allowed to attempt to negotiate with individual employees.
They must bargain in good faith and negotiate with the ASU and any nominated bargaining representatives.
The ASU has advised Jetstar that they must stop immediately and if they do not, then the ASU will seek the assistance of Fair Work Australia.
What you should do
The rightful place for management to discuss our claims is at the negotiating table with your National Negotiating Team (NNT).
If management attempt to speak with you about what you would accept, you should ask them to speak to an ASU delegate or your NNT.
Let your Delegates know when management are engaging in this unlawful behaviour. Otherwise they are undermining your legal right to representation.
You value your work and so should Jetstar management. Contact your local ASU Organiser if you have any questions or concerns.
