STOP THE SELL OFF

Dear Member.
According to media reports, the NSW Government is preparing to sell off the NSW electricity network including Generation, Transmission and Distribution. USU members across NSW are now actively campaigning to try and stop the sell off. We are asking all USU members to take action to assist the campaign…
1) The campaign website has now been updated. Members can now send an email to their local member of parliament or a letter to the editor of their local newspaper with the simple click of a button through the campaign website.
Please visit www.stoptheselloff.org.au now and take action.
2) Attached you will find some talking points which will help you to spread the word about the negative effects that electricity privatisation will have on NSW – talk to your family, talk to your neighbours and talk to your friends about this issue and ask them to send a message to members of parliament.

USU General Secretary Graeme Kelly has gained the support from the Shooter and Fishers Party against the selloff. These members hold the balance of power in the NSW Upper House.
